Sign-in form extension

WordPress comes with built-in functionality to manage user registrations. By default, it is turned off but you can easily turn it on.

Head over to Settings » General page in your WordPress admin area. Scroll down to the ‘Membership’ section and check the box next to ‘Anyone can register’ option.

Next you need to select the default user role. This is the user role assigned to each new user who registers on your website.

If you installed the demo data, the sign-in form will be added to the homepage by default and look like this:

But you can also add this form to any other page.

For using this form you need a Unyson extension 'Sign in Form' to be active. It must be activated by default during the theme installation. You can check it under the Unison tab:

The form settings locate under Customize > Sign-in | Register form, check out more here Sign-in | Register form.

Let's review how the 'Sign-in Form' extension works for page builders.

Sign-in Form for Elementor

If you use Elementor, you can find the Sign-in Form under the Olympus section.

Once you add this widget, you will be offered a set of options.

Here you can choose which form will be displayed in the sign-in block - a login, register, or both of them.

Login form

As a login form you can select the following options:

Here you can set up your custom redirected link after user login

Then, you can edit the form description text. If you want to add your custom link in the form description, you need to use the shortcode [register-link text="your custom text" url="your custom URL"] for it.

The appearance of the Youzify login form can be edited via Youzify Panel > Membership Settings > Login Settings and Login Styling Settings.

Please, check out our tutorials about Youzify Login Settings and Youzify Login Styling Settings for details.

If you choose the custom shortcode, there will be available an additional field for your own custom HTML or shortcodes, which will appear in a sign-in block.

Register form

The register form has almost the same options as the login form.

You can choose between the Olympus or Youzify register forms or add your own custom HTML or shortcodes, which will appear in a sign-in block.

If you choose the Olympus register form, you can set up your custom redirected link after registration here. The form settings locate under Customise > Sign-in | Register form > Register Form Fields. Check out this doc for details Register Form Fields

The Youzify register form settings locate under Youzify Panel > Membership Settings > Register Settings and Register Styling Settings. Check out this doc for details on Youzify Register Settings and Youzify Register Styling Settings.

Both Login and Register forms

If you decided to display both forms together, the form will be looked like a table, where users can switch between login and register tabs:

Besides, you can combine the forms in this table and use different forms for login and registration.

The options for forms are the same as described above.

Welcome back menu settings

Once you've done with a login/register form, you can edit the Welcome back module title, subtitle, and button name.

Sign-in Form for WPBakery

The sign-in form options for WPBakery are the same as for Elementor but have another appearance. For WPBakery, you can find the Sign-in Form module under Add Element > Crumina > Sign-in Form:

General tab

Under the general tab are located options for the login and register forms.

Display - you can choose which form will be displayed in the sign-in block - a login, register, or both of them.

Form login/register - you can choose either Olympus or Youzify form or use your own shortcode, as well as in Elementor. Besides, you can combine the forms and use different forms for login and registration.

Login/Register redirect - you can set up your custom redirected link after the user logs in or registers. This option works only for Olympus forms.

Strings options tab

Once you've done with a login/register form, you can edit the Welcome back module title, subtitle, and button name.

Also, you can edit the Olympus form login description here. If you want to add your custom link in the form description, you need to use the shortcode [register-link text=your custom text url=your custom URL] for it.

Custom Welcome Back module

This is a menu, which is a part of the sign-in form extension and appears on the homepage after login.

This menu comes with the demo data and cant be edited. The default links for the 'Welcome back' module are Activity, Notifications, Forums, Settings.

Although you can't edit this menu, you can create a new menu instead of this. If you want to have some links from a default menu here, you need to add the same menu items to this newly created menu.

If you want to change it, you need to create a new menu under Appearance > Menus. On the "Edit Menus" tab you need to click on the link "create a new menu", then add a menu name and, finally, create it.

Next, you will be able to add any necessary menu items from any section of the column on the left. You can add starting from 2 or more links there and choose the "User vCard menu" display location.

Finally, you should simply attach this menu to the "User vCard menu" under Menu Settings on the bottom of the page by putting a tick to it. You can also attach any of the already existing menus to this place.

The newly created menu will be displayed instead of the default one.
