Since we added a free Elementor version as a page builder and Crumina Elementor extension with Olympus blocks in the Olympus 3.0, the demo data with Elementor is available for new customers. We decided to create this article for our current customers, who already have WP Bakery as the main builder but now wants using Elementor instead.
Although there is no easy solution, which could convert our existing WPBakery pages to Elementor automatically, in this article we're going to describe 3 possible ways how you can make Elementor as the main page builder instead of WPBakery.
The easiest solution is to install demo content again, but this time with Elementor. However, this solution suits for those who are ready to lose all the previous content.
NOTICE: If you decide to reinstall demo content, all your previous content and customization will be missed!
You can reinstall demo content via Tools > Demo Content Install. In this case, your previous pages will be backed up, and new pages from the demo data will be added.
You can also delete the theme and reinstall it again, but the result will be the same - the demo data will replace all your previous data and customization.
For those who do not want to install the demo data with Elementor, but want the same default theme pages as were in WP Bakery, we added templates of main pages and sections. You simply need to create new pages manually with the help of the default Olympus templates. In this way, you don't need to reinstall the demo, so, all your previous content will be saved.
First of all, you need the Elementor plugin installed. If you don't have Elementor plugin, you need to add it under Plugins > Add New.
Once the Elementor plugin is installed, you'll get the notification about Olympus extension for Elementor, so you can easily install it by clicking on "Begin installing plugin" link:
Then, you'll be able to upload Elementor templates, which you can find in the theme package inside the ETC folder > "elementor-templates" folder:

If you don't have that folder inside your theme package, please, download the latest Olympus version from ThemeForest.
NOTICE! Using Elementor templates do not convert your pages from WPBakery to Elementor automatically!
Please, mind that an Elementor template is just a set of Elementor blocks with the same content as on Olympus demo site. Using these templates helps to save your time because you don't have to copy blocks from WP Bakery on your own.
Next, please, simply upload Olympus templates for Elementor to Elementor > Templates > Add New.

Once these new pages with Elementor are ready, you can delete WP Bakery and the same WP Bakery pages.
You can use two different page builders on your site but you just can't use both on the same page/post. It means that you can continue editing already existing WP Bakery pages with WP Bakery, but you'll be able to choose between WP Bakery and Elementor for further pages.
NOTICE! if you decide to leave these two builders together, notice that pages created with WP Bakery must be edited only with WP Bakery, as well as pages, created with Elementor must be edited only with Elementor. Please, don't try to edit pages created with WP Bakery previously with Elementor or vice versa because it leads to breaking pages!
