Changing phrases via Loco Translate

There are 2 categories of content that users can see:

• dynamic (from plugins and settings)
• static (written in files of theme, plugins, etc)

You can change dynamic content via Administration Screen or Appearance Customize Screen.

If you want to change the static content (marked with a green color box) you can use 'Loco Translate'.

By 'Loco Translate' you can:

1. Translate your content in other languages
2. Change content (the names of items) in Demo Theme

How to install 'Loco Translate'

Now let us show how to translate/edit other strings via the "Loco Translate" plugin. First of all, please install and activate the plugin from the WordPress repository.

After installing and activating, go to the plugin`s settings. 

Static text can be included in themes or plugins.

Choosing ‘Themes’ or ‘Plugins’ depends on the section, which is responsible for the items that you want to translate/rename.

• Loco translate -> Themes 
• Loco translate -> Plugins 

Pay attention, that some of the demo pages were generated automatically from bundled plugins. In this article, we’d like to clear up which page from the demo comes from which plugin.

From BuddyPress come the following pages:

• Members
• Activity
• Groups
• Register
• Activate

So words from these pages you need to search in Loco Translate > Plugins > BuddyPress.

The following pages come from the Youzify plugin:

• Complete Registration
• Login
• Password Reset

Also in Loco Translate > Plugins > Youzify, you can translate some words from the Activity page.

The following pages come from the WooCommerce plugin:

• Shop
• Cart
• Checkout

The blog pages of the demo data were created with default WP templates:

• Blog Classic
• Blog Grid
• Blog List
• Blog Masonry

How to change items name via Themes 

1. Choose the Olympus theme

2. Sign-in Form extension and add a new language:

Note: if you just need to edit the text strings and not translate to another language, any way you need to add the English language and after that begin to change the text. For example:

If you have already signed in Loco Translate, you need to choose ‘Edit.

3. Begin searching for a needed string and edit the text in the translation field:

4. After that hit the "save" button.
