Header options

Customize > Header options section provides a set of options for social and classic headers and their elements. This section consists of the tabs. 

Let's review every in detail further.

Elements visibility 

Elements visibility panel is located under Customize > Header options > Elements visibility and allows you to hide some of the elements for both classic and social headers.

Fix on scroll

'Fix on scroll' option allows you to choose which header will be fixed while scrolling. Here you can also fix both headers. 

User menu / Login

Here you can enable or disable the User menu / Login section inside the social header. This section includes showing the top user menu for logged-in users and the login/register button for non-logged users. 

Search 

Here you can enable or disable the main search field on the header.

The phrase "Search here people or pages..." can be edited with the help of the Loco Translate plugin. Please, refer to this tutorial for more details Changing phrases via Loco Translate.

Notification bar

Here you can enable or hide the following notification items:

1. Friend requests
2. Messages
3. Notifications

The default BuddyPress notifications show up as soon as one of the following things happen:

Activity:

• A member mentions you in an update @username”
• A member replies to an update or comment you’ve posted

Messages:

• A member sends you a new message

Friends:

• A member sends you a friendship request
• A member accepts your friendship request

Groups:

• A member invites you to join a group
• Group information is updated
• You are promoted to a group administrator or moderator
• A member requests to join a private group for which you are an admin

WooCoomerce cart

Here you can enable or hide the WooCoomerce cart icon on the header.

Social header panel

The social header panel allows you to customize the social header colors and set up its visibility.

Section Visibility allows:

• to show the social header only for logged in users;
• to show the social header for everybody;
• to hide the social header.

Here you can also set up a background color for this header, its title, and icons. Besides, you can set up a separate background color for the search field and its placeholder. 

Social Header Search form default icon allows editing a custom icon instead of the default Olympus one for the search results:

Classic header panel

The classic header panel allows you to customize the classic header colors and set up its visibility.

Section Visibility allows:

• to show the classic header only for logged in users;
• to show the classic header for everybody;
• to hide the classic header.

Here you can set up a general header background color.  Also, you can edit colors for the logo text and the cart icon.
