Widgets are the blocks that add content to the sidebars and footer columns. To add some widgets go to Appearance>Widget section. On the left side of the page, you will see widgets, that can be used in the sidebars. Choose one widget and move it to a sidebar on the right side of the page with drag and drop function.
Each widget has its options. Once they are added, configure the settings and save the widget.
